The Reason Why!
Over 30 years of boxers being part of our family, we decided we wanted to add a new member to our family. We knew we wanted something different from the fawn and brindle boxer that is usually associated with the breed. We decided to look for a reverse brindle or Sealed boxer all other names for the Black Boxer. We understood how hard this color was going to be to find. After searching for over 4 years, we found Niko.
Mia
Of course I found plenty of beautiful boxers’ brindle and fawn and yes they would have had gorgeous puppies, but I really wanted to try to enhance the Black and preserve his deep coat. Internet search uncovered a few ads for the colored breed with price tags over $2500-2800.00. A couple times we came across pet shops with a greyish coat and a price of $1900.00 but no information could be given on the pedigreed back ground. Over six years of internet ads and countless phone calls trying to find someone interested in just breeding. We came across Mia Bella Logan, she was eight months old and her owners didn’t have enough time to dedicate to her playful personality. They were looking for a family with other dogs for her to play. They really wanted to find a loving family with children that would be a good match, and would love her as much as they did. After countless emails, a nine hour drive, and a day long visit we all knew Mia would be a perfect fit for our family. With combining Mia’s playfulness and Niko’s loving personalities we had a perfect match for litters of loving joyful boxers to carry on Niko’s Line for years to come.
Niko
Niko moved in with us and instantly became a part of our family. He got along great with our elderly boxer Louie and our two other dogs we adopted over the years. Niko at a young age was the typical joyful loving puppy, similar to all the other boxer pups we’ve own, but we soon found out how special he was. He is loveable and playful with an awesome personality. He knows if you’re having a bad day and wants to give you extra love. His all black coat with white tips on his chin, chest, and paws is as soft as a mink, and as shiny as silk. He has vocal and facial expressions and can communicate as if he was telling you something. My wife and Niko bonded from day one and she always expressed she couldn’t ever go without a Niko in her life. With this in mind I set search for a mate for Niko that would not only compliment his looks and personality but add even more.
